Veteran Give Away

Every year, Stark’s Lawn and Landscape, LLC gifts one lucky veteran in the Frankfort area with a free 1 year mowing package for the mowing season. If you or someone you know could benefit from this offer, please submit our form below containing their contact information and a short story about why you or the veteran you nominated would benefit from this mowing package.

From the submissions, we will select 3 nominee’s for a face-to-face introduction. We will then select 1 of the 3 for the free 1 year mowing package. The other 2 veterans will receive a greatly discounted offer. We are thankful for the service our veterans have provided. Any veteran qualifies for our standard veteran discount of 15% off mowing and 20% off landscaping.

Recent Recipient

David Arnold’s Army’s service began in 1969, I and included numerous assignments. After graduating from ROTC as an Ordnance Officer, he was assigned to the Army Combat Development Command. His duties included foreign technology assessment and work in the Volunteer Army Project. In 1972 he was assigned to Europe with the Eighth Infantry Division, where he was the Division Materiel Officer and then the Division Technical Supply Officer. During this assignment, He met and married his wife Rose, now of 52 years. They returned to Maryland when David was assigned to the Army Ordance School. While there he attended Officer Advanced Course; commanded Company H, Second Battalion of of the School Brigade; and became a Senior Instructors. He continued his service to Army training in a tour with the University of Vermont Army ROTC. They then returned to Germany where he was Commander of the Army’s Ober Ramstadt Depot Activity. As the commander, he filled a significant role in Army European logistics. In his time in the Army, he received the Reserve Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, two Army Commendation Medals, and two Meritorious Service Medals.

Past Recipients

Congratulations to Petty Officer Second Class Steve Luck of the United States Navy. Despite a Medical condition from his service in the Navy, Steve went on to earn his BA in Education and a Masters in Educational Administration. He coached teams in the Special Olympics, he also taught and served as an assistant principal for almost 15 years before medical retirement. We at Stark's Lawn and Landscape, LLC want to say thank you by awarding Steve our Annual "Veterans Mowing Contract". A 1-year free mowing maintenance contract for the 2019 mowing season.
